Abstract

Professional development through mentorship: providing guidance for new librarians in Singapore

The Library Association of Singapore piloted its first mentorship programme in 2018 for the community. A total of eight mentoring pairs joined the programme for half a year. Mentees and Mentors met a minimum of two times and provided reflections after each meeting. This article reviews the programme and considers what could be improved next time to help new professionals.
