Abstract
Working on LGBTQ+ issues in a library association: the French Légothèque working group
Fighting against stereotypes in libraries is very important. It is our role as librarians and information professionals to be open and to welcome every single user, in its own singularity. That is why we set up a working group within the French librarians’ association called Légothèque, dealing with « libraries’, self-construction, and fight against stereotypes ». In a changing French context, both open and facing many challenges, the working group aims to raise awareness amongst patrons and librarians by spreading information, offering tools and training, and stressing the importance of welcoming for everyone.Item Type: | Conference or Workshop Item (Paper) | ||||||
