Abstract

Connecting Business Librarians in Asia Pacific and beyond

The Asia Pacific Business School Librarians' Group (APBSLG) was inaugurated in 2002 by passionate Business Librarians who wanted to get together to share professional knowledge, experiences, and encourage cooperation and innovation within the Asia-Pacific region. The purpose of APBSLG is to provide a forum for directors and senior librarians of leading Asian B-Schools to exchange ideas, discuss, collaborate and network. Members will have the opportunity to host meetings and other events to showcase their B-School. APBSLG is closely associated with the North American Academic Business Library Directors (ABLD) and the Europe Business School Librarians’ Group (EBSLG), and meet jointly every 4-5 years. APBSLG recently adopted a constitution, and we have embarked on a membership drive to engage other leading Asian-Pacific B-schools to our membership. There is no membership fee. The poster serves as a call to action to business librarians to be involved in our group, or a similar regional group. We hope to demonstrate our commitment as a platform in which dialogue can happen.
