Abstract

Cubicles of happiness

Pustaka Raja Tun Uda Shah Alam, Selangor in Malaysia has 24 cubicles of happiness in 1 building including discussion rooms, meeting rooms, multipurpose hall and auditorium. Strategically located in luxurious golf area, it brings happiness to the users, staffs and also the management. Library acts as a meeting point, where the facilities are necessary in order to provide a conducive environment to all communities around the Klang Valley. Multipurpose Hall is commonly used by the local community for the various uses of the public such as students, businesses, corporations, politicians, civilians, NGOs, government and private sector education sectors. It is also used as a venue for big events such as the Football Associates of Selangor Conference, Lets Read Together For 10 Minutes and Quran Braille Malaysia and so on. It’s also become a big potential in order to promote library facilities to many peoples surrounding. Other than that, while activities and event take place, library staffs must take care of the needs. Indirectly, it becomes source of side income to the staffs. The cubicles also bring happiness to the Management. In 2015 until 2018, we generate income almost 1.147million Ringgit Malaysia equivalent 286 thousand USD from 4,870 rooms used. That amount can cover some payment of maintenance, salary and facilities. It brings difference meaning of happiness to others.
