Abstract

One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world

Whereas children are assumed as potential capital of communities, it’s very crucial to plan accurately for their training. Training creative and expert children’s writers, is a foremost activity; for which, specialized field of child literature was fortunately established in Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) as one of the paramount Iranian universities. Beside, in our developing country during recent years, increasing entry of females into business world and thus, entry of their children into society, necessitates creating special spaces for children to interact with society. Central library of SBU put creating a valuable complex of useful sources for children and fascinating setting for them as its agenda after review and need analysis of user community, for the first time in academia since 2016 in Iran. As the theorist, designer and starter of this specialized treasure, I try to describe extensive activities of this complex to develop book-reading among children, giving resources for training of parents, students, researchers regarding children and adolescents, and saving in time and cost. It is hoped this idea to resolve for my colleagues in academic libraries throughout world. Wish peace and happiness for all children around the world!
