PANAMÁ: Situación de las bibliotecas en relación con el derecho del autorPanama is one of the countries of the Central American region that is characterized by its rulers signed in different periods, a number of international conventions, nevertheless, the civilian population in general or professional who should be responsible for implementing them often un aware if not disclosed properly. The same situation occurs with the laws that are generated in the plenary of the Legislative Assembly, as in the case of Law 64 of 10 October 2012 on Copyright and Related Rights, which aspects of literary works, there is an almost universal ignorance of librarians according to the results of the surveys and practices in the services provided to users in different libraries. The outcomes of the questionnaire: "Impact of Legislation of Copyright in Libraries of Latin America and the Caribbean" applied to different types of libraries throughout the national territory through email and in person, off situations those referred to above, and other precise as is the fact that all these units offer services related to reproduction of printed works or those that are electronic services, taking only the conception that the law is not violated because it is done with "academic purposes" because users usually perform studies at various levels of Panamanian education system. With regard to accessibility issues for people with visual disabilities, recently, Law No. 9 of 12 April 2016 was enacted, by which the Treaty of Marrakech is approved without adequate disclosure and without the financial support to demand application.
